Can y’all believe that we finally made it to summer 2017? The official start to summer is only a few days away. So many things to look forward to! As summer is near, my birthday is right around the corner. At this point, I still don’t have any plans set in place other than going out to eat with the awesome people in my life. Usually, last minute is how I roll sometimes when it comes to my birthday. I could make plans to eat out at the most fanciest restaurant one day and the next day I could be making plans to hit the beach in Atlantic City.
Not only am I’m looking forward to my birthday, but looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July. So many fun planned activities happening in Philly including my girl Mary J. Blige coming to perform 4th of July night on the Ben Franklin Parkway along with a beautiful fireworks show display.
I will be spending more time out exploring some new foodie spots to checkout so keep an eye out for new “food diaries” blog posts during the summer. In addition, I will be heading to many events and festivals throughout Philly. You know I will be also doing a little traveling including pop-up trips to NYC checking out many events over there as well.
Another big milestone is that Kiki Style Diary blog turns 1 in July! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I began this journey and loved every minute of it. I love blogging so I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Although, I’m not new to blogging because I have been blogging on Tumblr for a long time, Kiki Style Diary blog is a little different. It’s like more of my open diary to the world.
What are your plans for the summer? Better yet, I’m thinking about heading to D.C. this summer for a few days. So any D.C. natives or people who visit there more often, what are some cool places to check out? I have never been so I’m open to all suggestions which is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
