Wow! Can you believe it’s almost April? This year is already moving at a fast pace and I know for a fact that in a blink of an eye, summer 2019 will be here time you know it. If you know me, you know that I love to travel to NYC a lot for meetings and events. I officially declared NYC as being my second home away from Philly.
One great thing about traveling to NYC are all the restaurant options that are available. Sometimes the choices can be overwhelming because there are a lot of great spots to choose from. I usually go by word of mouth on what restaurants to check out there. Here are some spots I’m hoping to cross off my summer bucket list!
1. BLACK TAP CRAFT BURGERS & BEER
I definitely want to try out this spot. I first heard about it from a co-worker that recommended me to try it out the next time I travel to NYC. The vibe appears to be nostalgia that serve burgers and milkshakes. Black Tap is known for their over-the-top milkshakes.
2. REMI FLOWER & COFFEE
To be quite honest, I’m not much of a coffee drinker like most people. By coming across this pretty little gem on Instagram, I can surely can make an exception. The shop is known for their beautiful plants, flowers and coffee. In addition, they serve baked pastries and cafe drinks. I want to definitely want to try their rose and lavender lattes.
3. EATALY NYC FLATIRON
I must say this is one beautiful rooftop restaurant I’ve seen. It’s called SERRA FIORITA by Birreria, which is inspired by a flowering greenhouse in the Italian countryside. This gorgeous restaurant serves seasonal plates, cocktails and natural wines. A friend and I are already planning to check it out sometime this summer.
4. LENA’S ITALIAN KITCHEN
Who doesn’t love Italian food right? Especially traditional Italian dishes that serve nothing but the best ingredients. Lena’s Italian Kitchen are always made fresh and the food always look so delicious on Instagram. This is an ideal spot for Italian I definitely want to cross off my bucket list for sure.
5. SWEET CHICK LIFE
Y’all, I love me some comfort soul food! Especially when it comes to fried chicken and waffles. Sweet Chick Life is known for having the best fried chicken and waffles in New York Brooklyn style. In addition to fried chicken and waffles, I heard the fried chicken sliders is the best thing. They are served as spicy chicken on mini bisquits. This Southern restaurant has a high priority on my bucket list I would love to experience.
