Hey my love tribe! I hope you are loving and enjoying life at the moment. Since we are into the new year, I thought it would be useful to share 5 things I’m doing to start off the year right. I’ve been getting many questions on how I’m continuing to stay focus despite everything that is going on around us. The tips that I’m about to share with you today has been very helpful to me and hopefully, it would benefit you too. The tips will not only help you in your everyday life, but it will help give you a sense of balance. I’ve already noticed a difference in myself once I once I started. So let’s get right into the 5 ways.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH
If there was anything that 2020 taught me, it was the importance of taking care of my physical and mental health. I’ve faced some tough challenges last year so I had to take control of my well-being. Since I’ve been spending more time at home, I’ve started working out 4 times a week. The benefits I’ve gained from working out has been great because I feel much happier, I have more energy and it has also helped with relaxation.
I highly recommend to find an exercise routine that works well for you and stick with it, because trust me you will notice a difference. Never realized how important my mental health was until now. I learned to take time out for myself and to engage in something that gives me a sense of peace, especially with everything happening in the world. Usually music does the trick for me. I love to lay back reading the latest issue from a few of my favorite fashion magazines while listening to music. Find something that works well for you whether it’s reading, puzzles or listening to podcasts. Give yourself a break from social media and more valuable time for self.
DRINK MORE WATER & CHANGE EATING HABITS
Drinking more water and changing my eating habits was something I’ve been doing for a little while even before the new year. I must admit, I did fall off track during the holiday season. At the start of the new year, I’ve been doing well with staying on track ever since. Many people don’t realize what a difference drinking water and changing your eating habits makes.
I drink so much water throughout the day, I would say about 5-6 glasses for me. I usually drink water with all my meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner. As far as my eating habits, I’ve cut out eating dairy, bread, pasta and a lot of sugary foods. It really has made a difference in my weight and my skin. I’ve lost a lot of my belly fat and thighs more rapidly than before. The breakouts I had are gone and I have such a beautiful glow to my complexion now.
GET INTO A DAILY ROUTINE AND STICK WITH IT
Believe it or not, getting into a routine schedule will set the tone for the rest of your day. Usually I have a daily routine in the morning before actually starting my day. When I wake up, I always tend to make up my bed. Studies have shown when people make their bed in the morning will actually have a more productive day. When I make my bed in the mornings, I just feel more accomplished.
ALWAYS MAINTAIN A POSITIVE OUTLOOK
No matter what always have a positive attitude each day about everything. A negative mindset will never get you far. The minute I wake up I train my mind to have positive outlook on everything. I also started eliminating the negative people in my life. I don’t want to surround myself with those kind of people because they tend to bring you down to their level because maybe they’re miserable or just don’t see the good in anything. Definitely not the kind of energy I want to carry around with me. Associate yourself with people that are on more on your level and vibe the same energy you do.
PLANNING IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA
When it comes to planning, it helps you to achieve more goals. Planning also will help you to become more productive. I keep a daily planner that helps me stay on track on blog posts, the content I want to post on social and future goals I want to achieve. Time management is everything and is an essential skill for success.
