I will always enjoy the long summer days. As fall approaches, I’m looking forward to the mood change and shorter cooler days. Soon we will shift away from our favorite swimsuits and maxi dresses in favor of our over-the-knee boots and comfortable layers. You may be tempted to forgo the greatest fashion trends of the year in favor of a 24/7 living in sweatpants six months into the year. Lucky for you, a piece of the fashion puzzle is comfy attire. However, they are not the only options available.
The primary goal it appears this season is to evoke nostalgia. Y2K fashion will achieve a new peak over the remainder of the year and during the summer among other interesting trends. Vibrant colors, daring styles like bubble dresses, volume tops, and cutouts are all part of the spotlight fashion trend. I’ve seen most of these trends in Vogue and Elle. Everything from preppy goods to standouts influenced by workwear is seen as well. Many of the designer collections from New York to Paris exhibited a subversive mentality, providing a welcomely edgy spin on wardrobe essentials.
Consider reworked tailoring, deconstruction knits, and a lot of leather in S&M and biker-style designs. Similar to that, a futuristic wave with gritty, punk undertones influenced by denim, dresses and cargos. These styles are more spread throughout fashion months four cities. In addition, Rhinestones, sequins and crystal-decked patterns are effortless when worn with pieces such as blazers and boots. The extra treatment applied to outerwear, which included floor-gazing dusters, extremely oversize puffers, and supersized faux fur.
The over-the-knee boots comeback will go well with micro-minis during the fall season. This will range from traditional block heels to second-skin designs splashed with colorant tough moro styles. While skin-baring Y2K type dresses and skirts continue to be popular, get ready for this season’s maxi hemlines, which range from full volume designs to slinky 90’s style forms.
Now that you have an ideal for Fall fashion trends, check out a few of my favorite picks for the season. Let me know in the comments what fashion trends you’re loving for fall.
