To pass some time between the self isolation period, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping. Not your average online shopping, but you girl’s been sample sale shopping! I’m considered a newbie to sample sale shopping because I’ve never physically shopped at one before. I used to hear about other bloggers talking about the great deals they found at sample sales which always had my curiosity. Before the COVID-19 epidemic hit, I planned to attend a few sample sales primarily in NYC. To be quite honest with you guys, I was a bit bummed when those sample sales events were canceled due to the COVID-19. However at the same time I understand that safety is the most important thing right now.
Some kind of way, I stumbled across a website called 260 Sample Sale by searching online sample sales on Google. Well let me tell you that it was the best thing I ever did because now I’m hooked! So if you never heard of 260 sample sale, let me give you the tea and tell you briefly about it. 260 Sample Sale is a family owned business based out of NYC hosting private and public sample sales for some of the top brands. Some example brands include Oscar de la Renta, Aquazurra, Theory and many more.
Since we are practicing social distancing, the 260 Sample Sale is now online. What I recommend doing is going to the website here to subscribe so you can be notified of the upcoming sample sales. You can also check out the latest sample sales that are happening right now. Second go follow their social media accounts so you can stay up-to-date, which I will have listed at the end of the blog post.
A few weeks back, STAUD and Frame had an online sample sale. The sample sales were sooooooo good guys! I mainly racked up on a few bags for the upcoming summer. I finally got the bag I wanted, which is the STAUD Shirley handbag in white. I’ve been wanting this bag for so long ever since it hit the scene a few years ago. It’s still a pretty popular bag to date. I didn’t just get one but I treated myself to two different styles. The mini crossbody bag I got from Frame is love at first sight. I was looking for a leather hunter green color bag since green is one of my favorite colors. So let’s get into more detail about each bag shall we……….

STAUD Shirley Bag (Tan Croc Embossed)
Look at how beautiful this bag is! It’s crystal clear with a crocodile-effect handle that comes with a removable zippered croc pouch. First of all, I love the brand STAUD and if you haven’t heard of them then definitely check them out. STAUD has a lot of unique trendy pieces, especially their bags! At the sample sale, I only paid $105 with free shipping from the original price of $210. This bag definitely will be featured in a few upcoming editorial photo shoots soon.
STAUD Shirley Bag (Clear/White)
Isn’t she lovely? This is the bag I had my eye on for quite some time. It’s identical to the croc bag above but has a beautiful white leather handle as well as a removable leather zippered pouch with a gold zipper embedded with the STAUD logo. This bag is so versatile and would go with everything and anything. This one, I also paid $105 with free shipping at the online sample sale from the original price of $210. I most likely will be rocking this at Fashion Week in the near future.
Mini handbag from Frame:
I’m so in love with this bag in so many ways. First of all the color is just beautiful. I was in the market for a leather hunter green bag to add to my collection and this one was absolutely perfect. It fits my everyday essentials like my cell phone, keys, and a few other things. I also love the polished gold pegs designed on the bag which sets it off giving it an expensive chic look. At the online sample sale it was $75, but some kind of way I googled a coupon code for Frame and I was able to get 30% off so I paid a total of $56 including the $4 tax with free shipping . The original price of the bag is $395. I’m very happy I was able to find such a great deal on stylish leather bag.
Unfortunately the STAUD and Frame online sample sales are over. I would highly recommend subscribing and checking 260 Sample Sale website often because there is definitely a possibility that STAUD and Frame will have upcoming future online sample sales. If you subscribe, you will receive notifications when they do have it again. However, you can still find the bags available at the links below if you’re interested. The bags are worth the investment because they’re versatile and chic. Definitely worth every penny for staples to add to your bag collection.
