So during New York Fashion Week, I attended the Pamella Roland Spring 2018 runway show. The runway show was held at Pier59 Studios in Chelsea, New York. Pamella Roland’s collection was indeed spectacular with a lot of richly detailed dresses with embroidered laces and beautiful sequins inspired by the timeless allure of Grace Kelly.
In the opening Pamella Roland Spring 2018 brochure, it says “Taking a cue from the French Riviera, the Pamella Roland SS18 collection is an ode to the glamorous seaside town of Monte Carlo. Hand draped tulle ball gowns and clean streamlined silhouettes are reminiscent of the Grace Kelly era – teeming with sophistication and drama. Looks decorated in intricate metallic fringe, crystal and sequin firework motifs, 3-D degrade embroidered scalloping, fabric manipulated flowers, and feather plumes make perfect accents for each stand out piece. Ombré mikado, pleated tulle, and embroidered lace make up a sea of luxurious fabrics. Royal tones of cobalt. navy and aqua are effortlessly on display alongside elegant hues of fuchsia, blush and lilac. High low gowns, capes, and bow details round out a collection fit for a perfect star-studded night at the Monaco Grand Prix”.
Fashion designer Pamella Roland first came on the scene around Fall 2002 with debuting her couture collection, which received a positive response and has grown successfully. Pamella Roland has been a label of choice amongst some of the top retailers including Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Some A-list celebrities include Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Hudson, Karlie Gloss, Madonna and so much more.
