Hey guys! I know it’s been a little while. Sorry for the absence away from blogging for a bit. The reason for this is because I needed to really stay focused on classes this semester. This month in general has been crucial. Also, I was preparing for my upcoming graduation! Yes guys I’m finally graduating next week. I’m looking forward to sharing my big day on the blog so stay tuned!
Last weekend, I attended Beautycon in New York. I must really say that they really stepped up their game this year with the new venue at the Javits Center and much more beauty brands than last year’s festival at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The theme this year at the event was Beauty Bazaar. I was seeing brands from Urban Decay to beauty brands I had no idea existed, such as Essence Cosmetics.
This year, Beautycon introduced two new elements, which were B-Well, a dedicated health and wellness experience to explore the evolving ways beauty, health & wellness are connected. The second was K-Town, where the highlights were focused on Korean fashion, style cosmetics and skincare.
What I tend to always enjoy the most at Beautycon are the creators and celebrities on the main stage touching on topics like self-love, self-care, finding a balance and confidence. I was so excited to sit in on a fireside chat with Bazoma Saint John and Zendaya. “I consider myself a real model, not a role model. I’m trying not to play a role.”~Zendaya. A quote that Zendaya said that was indeed inspiring.
In addition to the brands and the brands and creators, there was live music, beauty samples to try out and hot good looking guys. Check out some of the photography I snapped at the event. I’m strongly thinking about taking a trip to LA next year for Beautycon LA. Do you guys think I should?
Did anyone attend Beautycon NYC this year? If so, I would definitely love to hear what you thought about the event.
