Hey guys! How are you? I hope your summer is going well so far. Okay so I know your probably wondering where I’ve been and what I have been up to. I wanted to take a little time off to mentally reflect on everything, especially after graduating back in May. I still have been very active on social media, but took a break from blogging.
So what have I been doing? I have been on a serious job hunting mission because truth of the matter is I’m currently unhappy at my job. I don’t want to get in specific details, but what I can tell you is that when you work for a horrible company that doesn’t have respect for their employees, has shown unprofessionalism along with lack of teamwork and communication in the workplace for three years, it’s time to bounce. I’m was not only seeking out a career change for the better, but for my mental state and well-being.
I am happy to say that I was recently hired with a great company. I’m starting my new position in early November. It’s something that I can see myself enjoying and it offers a great salary and benefit package too. I get to also have a work-life balance, which is what I’ve been searching for. I had the opportunity to meet my future Co-workers and they seem pretty nice. I sensed automatically that it has a way better environment than where I am. One of the few life changes I was looking forward to for 2018. It’s an office position, so that means dressing up in a more stylish professional attire (Hint: Look out for office OOTD looks posted on the blog soon).
The lesson is don’t settle for something or somewhere you aren’t happy with. Do the necessary changes to seek for something better. Rise above the *BS* and gets yours! Life is too short to be unhappy and no one has time for the nonsense. Wish them well and keep it moving.

As far as blogging is concerned, nothing is going to interfere with that, because I love it too much. What I can tell you is that some great changes are coming soon to the blog. I decided that I really want to step up my blogging game and switch to a self-hosted WordPress website.
I can’t tell you how excited I am for this change because I have been thinking about this for so long, but wasn’t sure if I was ready to invest money into the blog. I realize that investing in a better design in addition with working with professionals could take my content to the next level. I’m still going to blog here for a bit until the changes take full effect. Hopefully it won’t be too long, but it will definitely be before the year ends so stay tuned!
