I don’t know what it is but it seems like around this time of the year, I get swamped with so many invites to networking events. Not that I don’t get them any other time of the year, but it’s more invites sent between August through September. I love networking events more than ever now because I get to meet so many great people in the fashion and beauty industries. Can you believe when I first started blogging, I didn’t care too much for attending networking events? Growing up as a shy girl, I didn’t really have the confidence to mingle with others. I would be that quiet one listening to others talk about themselves to the world.
Over the years, I have learned how to practice faking confidence. So here’s the thing about faking confidence: Practice it for a while, and eventually you’ll be a pro at it that you might just become confident like second nature. Having confidence is key at any social event because you appear sure of yourself and you allow others to see how great you are. It also makes you appear more happier, smarter and attractive to everyone.

Here are some key tricks I’ve learned to increase my confidence in social situations:
Confidence comes with age and wisdom. I’m much more confident now than I was 10 years ago. Remember that you are your’re own biggest fan so instead of criticizing yourself for everything that is wrong with you, try to recognize the things that aren’t wrong. Admire what you love about yourself and what you do.
