I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! So the most requested blog post from you guys is to show what I currently have in my makeup bag. You asked and now you shall receive! Today I’m showing you everything that’s in my makeup bag from lipsticks to eyeshadow. If you’re interested in any of the things that are in my beauty bag, I will be sure to link everything at the end of the blog post.
Eyeshadows
So let’s start with my eyeshadows. When it comes to eyeshadows I have so many, but these are the palettes I’m currently carrying around at the moment. In the spring & summer, I love rocking bold colorful eyeshadows with my outfits, especially a lot of greens and hot pinks. My favorite eyeshadows brands I’m really feeling are Snap Shadows by Fenty Beauty and NARS. What I love about these palettes is that they are very pigmented and apply on the eyes beautifully. It also lasts which is a definite plus because I’m not a big fan of reapplying throughout the day, especially on my busy days. I have gotten so many compliments from people when wearing any of these eyeshadows. If you’re interested, definitely check out these palettes. There are so many shades to choose from based on your preference. I will link these eyeshadows at the very end of this blog post.
Primer & Foundation
I’m currently using the Photo Finish Primer by Smashbox and the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. These two products are sooooo good guys! The combination of these two together gives me such a flawless look. The Photo Finish Primer by Smashbox is the business! Hands down to one of the best primers I’ve ever used. I was recommended by a good friend of mine to use this primer. This primer keeps my makeup in tact all day giving my foundation a nice smooth finish. It’s a bit on the pricey side but a little goes a long way. Lately, I’ve been using the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation because I saw a few YouTube beauty bloggers give rave reviews about it. I love the fact that it gives good coverage giving me that natural look. The foundation seems to last throughout most of the day and sometimes I forget I’m wearing it.
Lipglosses & Lipsticks
Lipglosses and lipsticks a girl can’t have enough of. I have so many in my collection but these are the ones I tend to wear the most on an everyday basis. A few of these were recently given to me as a gift from the brand. A quick shoutout to those brands and thank you again.
Glossier sent me over the Shine Lip Gloss in red. I love that it gives me a great amount of shine and light color every time I wear it . This is perfect to wear on my less glam days. It’s available in 3 shades which is the red, clear and holographic. I really want to try out the holographic because It looks so good!
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color is amazing! The shade I currently have is called passion, which gives me those lights, camera, action vibes. This liquid lipstick keeps my lips moisturized and it lasts all day. The great thing about this product is it’s very affordable. I purchased mine at Target for like $8. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable matte lipstick that’s moisturizing and stays in place throughout most of the day.
When I attended New York Fashion Week last season, Maybelline gifted me with a full-sized Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick to try out in shade 40 believer. I love the packaging, which is super cute! This liquid lipstick is just as good as the Revlon HD Matte Lip Color. It’s very matte and it lasts all day. Another great liquid lipstick to try out that ranges from so many different shades.
L’Occitane has great lipsticks that are natural and smell fruity. I have the flamingo kiss shade which smells sooooo good! The scent is like a fruity tea lemonade. Most of the lipsticks have ingredients like vitamin E, organic carrot oil, and pomegranate oil which is definitely a plus. In addition to lipsticks, L’Occitane also has great skincare products as well. I highly recommend trying out their shea butter hand cream! It’s one of my favorites to use during the cold months.
Brushes
I love these two makeup brushes from Smashbox and Dior. These are my on the go brushes I take along for quick touch ups. The Smashbox Blurring Foundation Brush blends in my foundation very nice. I only use liquid foundations, but I heard this brush also works great for blending powder and stick foundations as well. The Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Shader Brush is designed perfect for blending eyeshadow on my lids. Sometimes I like to mix eyeshadow shades to give a little dramatic look and by using this brush, it definitely delivers. If you’re interested in checking out any of these two essential brushes, the links will be down below.
Mascara & Eyeliner
I can’t forget about the mascara and eyeliner. I’ve tried so many mascara’s in the past, but this is by far my absolute favorite one by Clinique because it does not transfer once it’s applied. The mascara pretty much stays on all day and it does not give me those ugly raccoon looking eyes like some mascaras. The brush is just right for the tiny barbie eyelashes that I have, which gets every detail. So if you’re looking for a good mascara, this is where it is!
The NARS Via Veneto Eyeliner is probably one of the things in my makeup bag I least use because I’m not much of an eyeliner person. I use eyeliner occasionally for special events but not for everyday use. However, I do use it to line and define my brows. This eyeliner is actually the mini version of the full-sized version of the eyeliner. When you order $50+ or more at NARS using the code POWER, you get a free gift. The eyeliner was the free gift I received. I believe the promotion at NARS is still going on in case you want to check it out. The eyeliner claims to provide 12-hours wear, humidity-proof, sweat-proof, water-resistant and transfer-resistant all in one. If you’re interested in this eyeliner, I will definitely post a link below.
