7 Of My Favorite Lipsticks I Own In Honor Of National Lipstick Day

So did you know this upcoming Wednesday is National Lipstick Day? It’s like one of my favorite national holidays because it encourages women, bloggers and anyone who loves to wear lipstick to wear your very best shade showing off to the world. I love wearing lipstick and can’t imagine my life without it to be quite honest. Wearing lipstick just elevates my look whether I decide to dress up or down.

If you want to participate in National Lipstick Day, it’s pretty simple. All you do is put on your best lipstick and tag your look to social media using #NationalLipstickDay. In honor of National Lipstick Day, I’m showing you 7 of my favorite lipsticks I own in my collection.

& Other Stories Scarlet Noir Lipstick $19 (Now 68% off on sale for $6)

I can’t stress enough on how much I love & Other Stories makeup, especially their lipsticks! This particular shade is one of my favorites because it looks amazing on my brown complexion. The majority of lipsticks from & Other Stories contain ingredients of 80% of natural origin with cold-pressed mirabelle plum seed oil rich in antioxidants. It lasts long and glides on smooth without feeling drying. Y’all don’t sleep on & Other Stories, they may not be top in the makeup game, but their lipsticks are amazing! I own about 3 shades of their lipsticks with this shade being my favorite. NARS Inappropriate Red Lipstick $26

At one point, I was looking for the perfect red lipstick and I’ve found it with NARS in shade Inappropriate Red. You may have seen me wear this lipstick a lot in my recent photo shoots on Instagram and in the recent post How To Dress For a Heat Wave. I’m so drawn to the bold red color, long lasting pigmentation and moisture it provides. NARS always tend to create amazing lipsticks. This particular shade is my favorite because it’s perfect to rock with summer outfits, especially anything with florals.

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Madamn $12.50

Just FYI guys, this lipstick is small. It may be on the smaller side, but wow! You know that saying “The best things come in small packages” which is indeed the case with this lipstick. Not only the color looks amazing on me, but it’s also very pigmented and super creamy. I don’t really wear it as much because of the smaller package and in my mind I guess I want it to last a bit longer. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Addiction $6

I was actually first introduce this product by a good friend that recommended that I try it out. The first thing I love is the packaging which is not shaped like your average lipstick tube. The second is the amazing pigmentation it gives and it lasts all day. I don’t ever really have to reapply it unless I want to by choice. It comes in so many great shades including the one I own which is addiction. The great thing is its super affordable at only $6 for a great matte lipstick.

The Lip Bar Vegan Lipstick Purple Rain $12.00

This is the newest lipstick in my collection. I just purchased this shade a few weeks ago. I have not rocked it yet but I know once I do it’s going to look amazing. I’ve always loved products from The Lip Bar, especially the lipsticks and lipglosses. I was first introduced to the brand when I attended Beautycon NYC a few years back when there were lipstick samples in my hauler swag bag. I love the fact that they are a black owned business, which that is a plus for me. I can’t wait to wear this color in future photo shoots so stay tuned.

Glossier Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick Zip $18

I was very excited to try out this matte lipstick from Glossier and I’m actually glad I did. This is another lipstick I also rocked in a few of my photo shoots on Instagram. It lasts pretty long and it’s very moisturizing.

Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick Extravaganza $38

I couldn’t conclude this blog post without having a lipstick from Pat McGrath Labs. I was gifted this recently for my birthday and love everything from the package down to the color. I’ve only rocked it once about a week ago and the color looks amazing.
