Hey guys! I’m back to share my latest VoxBox and I must say it’s really a good one! It’s almost as good as my last VoxBox from Lancôme.  So I received the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow VoxBox a little over a month ago. What this particular VoxBox included was the translucent loose setting powder glow, a glow powder brush, and a travel size translucent loose setting powder with a mini velour puff.

When I first found out I was in on this VoxBox, I was super excited to be one of the lucky ones chosen for it. The funny thing is that the day before I found out I was picked for this VoxBox, I saw this particular Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder at Sephora and was tempted to buy it but didn’t. Not only was I sent the full-size complimentary powder and brush from Influenster, but also I received a travel size that came in handy when traveling. I took along the travel size during my trip to NYC a few weeks back for New York Fashion Week, which was super convenient.

I had some time to test out this product and I must say that I absolutely love it! First of all, this powder is the bomb guys. When I applied it to my face, it gave me a beautiful golden sheen without the glitter. I haven’t had much luck with setting powders in the past because it would give my face too much glitter and shine. It mainly leaves a slight shimmer, but not too noticeable. I can say that this powder is something that I would consider a subtle everyday or whenever you feel like it glam that isn’t over the top.

I also noticed it lasted throughout most of the day when applying it in the morning. The only time I had reapplied it is when going out later on for a night on the town for that fresh look. The powder didn’t leave my face cakey or messy like some powders, but it gave it a more smooth photo matte finished look.

The color shade I was sent to try out was a medium deep, which went great with my brown complexion. I learned that the powder also comes in translucent shade for my beautiful fair skin ladies out there. The glow powder brush is amazing because I love how it’s designed to apply the powder evenly within the contours of my face. I usually use the brush to highlight key areas such as my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. I  strongly don’t recommend using it under your eye area. I made the mistake in doing this and it emphasized the fine lines under my eyes.

Overall, I would highly recommend trying out this loose setting powder if you’re looking for something that gives you a long-lasting natural beautiful glow. It comes in two color shades, translucent and medium deep. Ready to try it out? You can purchase the Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder glow at Sephora here. I would recommend the Laura Mercier glow brush to use with this product too for the maximum effect. The glow brush is also available at Sephora by clicking here.
